A booking tool the franchise truly owns
The Sharpness is a barbershop franchise in Geneva. As it grew, it needed a tool capable of managing appointments and calendars for all its salons in one place, without depending on a monthly subscription to a third-party service.
The challenge
Synchronize each barber's calendar live, across multiple salons, while keeping a system simple enough to evolve at the pace of the franchise.
The solution
We built a custom web application in Django and Python. At its core, a CalDAV server synchronizes the calendars of all barbers in real time. The choice of Python ensures a durable system that is easy to extend: e-commerce, blog, training and workshop management can be added as needs arise.
The result: a self-owned tool, paid off over time, where a subscription service would have cost every month for the same features.
